A coronation is an act or ceremony of crowning a sovereign or consort. It is a ceremony of great honor and respect. It is something that should be recognized and celebrated.
People make plans in life. Most of those plans don't normally involve God. If they did, we may go about planning very differently. It can be as basic as what you wear. Are you dressing to feel good about yourself, for other people, or to honor God. Every act of planning has a reason behind it. We just need to check our motives occasionally.
We all try to predict outcomes from our decisions. However, life is upredictable. If God is involved in your planning, then it will succeed. If it is based on your personal desire, then it will be difficult at best and a tragedy in the worst cases.
God anoints leaders for us. We may not like them. They may not be our choice, but we have to honor God's choice. In a sense we have coronations for our presidents and other leaders. They are like royalty even if it may only be for a set time.
When we chose not to respect God's chosen people, then we are disrespecting God. He does not like that and will have no problem showing us His displeasure. He rebukes out of love and not anger. He is the Good Father. I know that can be hard to grasp if you did not grow up with a good father, but if you let Him he can redefine what a father should be.
We are blessed to have Him care enough to chose people to take care of us. If the leader choses to dishonor God, then he will pay the price. We don't have to stay angry or hold a grudge. God has a solution for every situation.
Psalm 2
