Prayer of Protection

 

    Prayer is a conversation with God.  Sometimes the conversation is more intense than other times.  When praying for protection, there should be some urgency behind the prayer.  You may be praying for your life to be spared.  You may be praying over a loved one.  It may just be for justice to be upheld and truth to prevail.  It could be for vindication.

    Pray of protection is a cry out to God and breathing through the time you wait for a response.  You have to have your ears open to hear and eyes focused on righteousness.  God is examining your heart to see your motives.  You need to be determined not to allow your mouth to sin and avoid violence.  The movies makes violence look like that is how you have an exciting life, but in reality it is unnecessary drama that can be avoided in many cases.

    Walk in the path of God and you will not fall.  He is with you every step.  He is eager to hear what you have to say.  Sometimes He is just waiting to hear you ask Him for help.  We need to pray to keep from getting a callous heart in this hard world.  Part of His protection is the ability to care even when it is hard. 

    When you pray for protection it states that you trust that He will provide for what you need when you need it.  It is trusting that once you body dies that you will be in Heaven with Him.  The prayer of protection is for peace of mind over an uncertain future on Earth.  Life is hard, but it is full of blessings too.
