Solomon's proverbs continue. You get a proverb in every verse. This chapter contains 28 verses pertaining to the wisdom that God gives to people. Some wisdom can't be earned or learned on your own. God has to open your eyes, mind, and heart. Once the door is open, then the journey to this wisdom begins.
People make plans and organize our lives the way that seems best for us. We form them in our mind and set them to our heart, but God puts the plans on our tongues. We do things and they feel innocent, but it is our motives that God takes into account. Are our plans for our own gain or to glorify Him? They only way to know for sure is to give your plans over to God. He sees the bigger picture. He will altar them to succeed. The proud will not do this and the results will be less than desired because they think they know better than God.
We make plans, but God guides our steps. If you have love and faith in your heart, then you will avoid evil. This pleases God, so He will reward you with peace. Value honesty and righteousness and you will find that wrath will be appeased. This is priceless. We still need to work with drive and purpose, but it is better to be oppressed than than prideful or haughty. God will take care of the oppressed which means you will find blessings.
The wisdom that God gives is discernment. They turn instruction into something that sounds pleasing. The more you understand the more you live your life. The heart guides the mouth, so left to our own devices we would walk right into death. God's wisdom gives patience. This patience makes you powerful like a warrior that can control your temper because you listen to God's directions. You control your emotions and trust God with every decision.
