To woo is to seek favor or support. It can be used in business, but it is more for romance. In romance it has more to do with seeking to gain the love of another with the design for marriage. That is great, but do you stop pursuing your spouse once you are married? To woo is keep pursuing your spouse even after you get them by never letting them forget what they mean to you.
When you are in love you see your love as perfection. What happens after reality sets in and chips away at the perfection? Do you get bored and leave? Do you start to focus on the negative? Do you dig your heels in and determine to fight through the daily annoyances? It is wise to write down everything you love about your spouse, so when you need to you can go back to reference it. Describe everything and praise their features that you enjoy or like. The more you lavishly appreciate them, the more intimacy you will have.
Being in love makes your whole life feel better. It normally consist of speaking sweet words to each other and being overly nice or accommodating. Newlyweds find themselves in this cocoon of love. It is natural and nice. It is why you have the honeymood period. It can last only days to a couple of years. After that it is about protecting your union. You will still have times in your marriage where it feels like the honeymoon again. You just have to endure the hard times. Don't give up on your desire. Get excited when you hear your spouse's voice.
Being in love may provide the sense of fulfillment for a while, but the in love feelings don't last forever. When they fade away, even if just for a little while, it leaves the friendship and foundation of the relationship. Make sure your foundation is based on God's requirements so that you will have a strong marriage that will endure.
