Under Siege

Sound the alarm you are under siege.  Disaster is looming.  Terrible destruction is inevitable.  How do you process that?  Do you jump into action?  Or do you try to figure a way out?  Or do you panic and become a victim.  When God declares judgment this is the announcement.  How do you take it?
God warned His people if they did not repent and return to Him that they would face the consequences.  They ignored His warning, so He placed them under siege.  All that was beautiful and delicate was destroyed.  He told them to prepare for battle.  It would come.  They were warned, so why was it still unexpected?
When God gives you a warning, you better listen.  If you close your ears, then you still can't say you were not warned.  You just chose to ignore the warning.  The wicked find Him and His people offensive.  They will eagerly go after a follower of God.  God protected the oppressed the wicked are violent, destructive, a sickness among people, and they enjoy hurting people.  God's wrath will pour out to stop this.
You long for peace, but until God's judgment is complete it will not be found.  Even after judgment in life, if you don't turn to God, then you will not find peace after life.  This is not the time of mercy.  It is the time of destruction and refinement.
The leaders called by God are the watchmen.  If they do not do their job, then it is certain that you will observe your nation fall into disaster.  You can see it fall under siege hopelessly.  Are you watching idly by or are you going to do something?  As every side is surrounded you see the fear and pain.  God test His people.  How will you handle this test.
The hardened rebel will slander and bully.  They will not do anything productive.  They will spend their time corrupting the people around them.  The refined will go on in vain because the wicked are not being purged out.  They are rejected by God, but what does it do for life on Earth?  Followers of Christ can't ignore what is happening in the world around us or we are just as guilty.
