Today we continue with the nations that God has passed judgment upon. He had Jeremiah write it all down because some of the judgments would not come for many years. It doesn't change the fact that the nations have been judged. Today we focus on the Philistine and Phoenician Nations.
The Philistines self-destructed because they were enemies of God and His people. They were were totally destroyed around 600 BC. It was like a flood as the Babylonians came in. They killed everything they touched: the land, everything in it, and the people. It was a time of utter helplessness because they did not have the strength to fight. Parents couldn't do anything for their children, so they forsook them. It doesn't get worse than that.
The Phoenician nation is tied up in with the Philistines. Tyre, Sidon, and all their remaining allies were cut off. God's sword was restless for vengeance. It silenced all in it's path. The land became still.
