God's People Restored

God declared that His enemies will be judged, but His people will be elevated.  His people suffered when they rebelled against Him, but when they repented then they were restored.  He brought back their prosperity.  If God's people, like everyone else, were left to their own devises they would come to ruin and harm.
God judges motives, conduct, and actions.  He hears all the profane thoughts and words that people possess.  This goes against His Holy Name.  God's people need to control their thoughts for the sake of His name if not for yourself.  We have to endure insult and keep our zeal for God, so that we will bear fruit.  You can be a Christian and never bear fruit, but that is such a waste.
When people defile what God has given to them, then He will pour out His wrath.  If you profane His name, then you profane your very existence.  God's name is to be honored.  It is Holy which means it is powerful.  This transgression needs to be repented.  When it is, then everything changes.
God saved Israel for the sake of His name.  He promised never to forsake them, so He couldn't abandon them.  God can never break an oath.  He cleanses His people by giving us a new heart and spirit.  This heart for obedience replaces the heart of stone full of rebellion.  He is our God, so the new heart want to be obedient.  It will never be fully content until it aligns with God's ordnances.  It enables us to endure and live above reproach.  The fear of stumbling can be removed.
Have shame over the past sins (life before God's salvation), but move forward.  Don't let it stop you from becoming more.  Break the bondage of sin and let God heal the soul wounds.  Jesus restored you for eternity.  The day of your cleansing (salvation), is the day you can resettle.  What was destroyed by your life of sin can be restored into something more beautiful.  Your soul knows it's home.
