Gog was the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. Ezekiel had a prophecy against him since he was an enemy of God. God was going to use a fancy army to bring him down. Many nations turned against him.
God was good giving Gog time to prepare and be on guard. Gog had time to change and make different decisions, but his plans were to do evil. God planted them to secure the curse.
Gog plundered and raided every village or city that came across his path without walls or protection. Then he, along with other powerful people, went after Israel in vast numbers. It looked like they couldn't loose, but God is more powerful.
This is when God's wrath flared up and judgment was inflicted. It began with an earthquake. His people began to fight each other. God's judgment was executed with a plague, bloodshed, and acid rain. It may had been a volcano, but we will never know for sure. However, it did reveal God's power and glory by using nature.
Gog's attack against Israel represents the final attack. He is a representative as a force for the antichrist. The final battle is a depiction of Armageddon. It represents the end of time, but Israel (God's people) will be restored.
