Judgment Part 3

    When God turns against a nation the judgment is severe.  It is painful and deadly.  Everyone, even the righteous will suffer.  We suffer because we are a part of the world and what is wrong with it, not because it is what God wants.  Being a Christian is not a get out of jail free card.  It is a one way ticket into Heaven, but we aren't there yet.  We still live in this world.

    When your heart is broken, and you feel the bitterness of grief from universal judgment, it will make your spirit faint.  Testing will come if you are ready or not.  If you are not ready then you may find yourself in the slaughter with everyone else.  Once you are here, it is too late to cry out for help.

    We all face crossroads in life.  They are not always easy to figure out which way to go.  You just know that the direction you choose will change your life.  God's way is the only option that gives you life.  The other option you are choosing an idol.  If you do that then you are going to be massacred.  There will be no hiding or running.  It will just be heart melting in God's wrath puts a spotlight on your sin.

    Open rebellion leads to captivity and ruin.  Lies lead to death and judgment.  The humble and lowly will find themselves being freed.  They will rise up and become exalted.  However, only the righteous (followers of Christ) will be restored.  All you really need to remember is that it is God who the judge.  No me, not you, not anyone else.  When God judges it is slaughter like with a sword.  He comes to finish the job.
