Prophets Condemned

 

    A false prophet is like a wolf in sheep's clothing.  The people normally trust what they say.  They use the people and lead them away from God toward eternal death for their own personal reasons.  Ezekiel was charged to condemn the false prophets.  This applied to his time and Israel , but it still applies today to all who speak falsely of God's Word.

    A false prophet spreads lies which opens the door to God's wrath.  No one likes lies being said against them.  To speak falsely for God is a horrific sin to commit.  It will turn people against Him.  It leads the innocent to their death.  The truth may make people angry, but lies only cause despair, confusion, frustration, and distrust as people walk away from God.  Lies of a false prophet is disheartening and condemning as they encourage people in their wicked ways.  

    The good news is that God is stronger than any false prophet or their lies.  God is ready to accepted anyone who is willing to seek the truth.  That means anyone that is willing to walk away from their sinful nature and willing to live life based on Faith.  The righteous do not need to be disheartened because you know God.  You know that God has saved you.
