Seek God & Live

God laments over His people, His adopted family, when they chose to still live in sin.  It hurts Him as much today as it did when Israel did it.  That is why He gave His lament to Amos.  Amos  understood and was able to translate it to the everyday person.
God's nation had abandoned Him.  The only way they would survive was if they sought Him.  If they decided to keep living like sin was just a part of life, then they would be devoured by fire as it consumed everything.
The righteousness of His nation was gone.  The truth had despised.  Justice turned into something corrupt.  The poor were trampled.  The crimes were innumerable.  The people can call themselves holy all they want, but God knows the truth and He will take everything away from the abusers.  God knows all sin.  He defined them for us.  You can't out smart Him.
The prudent who have insight stay quiet in evil times.  God ask all of us to seek good, to seek life.  That means more than their own, but try to save others too.  Seek God and His armies will stand behind you to fight on your behalf.   Chose to hate evil and love good.
It is to be expected that you should mourn the loss, evil, and everything in between.  It will not be easy for anyone to follow God, but the alternative is to be an enemy of God.  One way or another the arrogance and indifference will be broken.   Our judgment day is still to come.   Justice will flow and righteousness will not be stopped.  However their day: The Day of the Lord was a dark and hopeless time that exiled God's people to Damascus.
