When Habakkuk prayed, you can feel His confidence in God. If a person was afraid, then they would never ask the questions he did. His bravery teaches us how we can have confidence in God. We learn how to love and respect, but still question things. His prayer life can give us confidence when we pray.
Habakkuk heard about what God had done. As a prophet, he saw what God will do. He was in awe in the moment. It revived his ministry. It gave his life music and a drive to educate. God had every right to inflict wrath, but He chose mercy that shines a brilliant light.
God has revealed His power in plagues, nature, and animals. He shows mercy while still punishing evil ways. We can see His light in the sun, moon, and stars. They give us confidence in His steadfast ways. They are a reminder that He always keeps His word. The wicked and unjust will pay. His anointed will rise.
This reality made Habakkuk shake within. He was a watchman of his people, but he was waiting for the inevitable. No matter how it would play out, He would celebrate God. He celebrated salvation as an anointed one. He trusted God with all of his strength, in which he got from God. Through God Habakkuk knew he could do anything. He could accomplish the unimaginable. He stepped out in life confidently.
