Jesus' Path

John the Baptist was not the first to clear the path for Jesus.  The path had been formed since the fall.  However, John the Baptist made the path visible again.  There had not been a prophet in about 400 years.  People had lost their way so severely that the path was no longer visible.  Jesus stepped into the path that John had cleared and made it come alive.  He gave the path light.  He made it clear that you had to follow him to get to God.
Jesus is the only way to God.  God is  the only one that will allow entrance into Heaven.  It concludes that Jesus' path is the only path that leads to Heaven.  Jesus' way is the truth and leads to eternal life.  You no longer just exist, you really live through your relationship with Jesus.  You have to really know him.  He has to be the biggest part of your life.  It sounds hard, but if you learn to love like he loves then it is not hard.
To start following Jesus begins with faith and trust.  You have to trust that Jesus will not lead you astray even if the path looks a lot more unsafe. Jesus went ahead of you.  He walked straight into death to go prepare you a place in Heaven.  He ensured us that he would return to take us to our true home where we will be safe, secure, confident, and loved.  He paid the cost to enable you to live there.  Next comes praying in Jesus' name to give your prayer power.
When you walk by faith, then you do as Jesus did.  You live a life of pure love to give God the glory in all you do.  You live this love out by submission and obedience.  It is not because you have to, but because that is how you want to live.  It is the only way to love other people in a healthy way.  This kind of love enables you to be able to keep Jesus' commandments.  It is the greatest testimony of love.
Faith is believing that Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are one God in three entities or three roles.  They work together and united as one, but are separate.  It is believing that Jesus lived, died, and returned as the Bible claims.  It is believing that the Holy Spirit is your comforter in life.  He reminds you why you are on Jesus' path and keeps you steady.  It is believing that God is in Heaven being the good father to all people.  They will never leave you.  This is meant to give you peace within your heart and soul.
Jesus left his peace and comfort in Heaven to live a mortal life among mere humans.  If I was a god, then I would not want to leave perfection to live among petty people.  That is just once of the differences between Jesus and people.  He loved us enough not only to live among us, but live an extremely humble existence among us.  The world is his.  He could have taken it, but the way he chose made him more relatable to more people.
Jesus left perfection to put his body in peril.  He lived in a world full of fear, pain, suffering.  He lived in it and took it upon himself to help as many people as he could to live out his love for them.  Satan never had a hold on Jesus.  Satan never had any control over his death.  He had a role that fed his ego, but he was only playing a part in Jesus' plan leading to his own destruction.  It is amazing how Jesus is still teaching us and showing us the way today.
