Christian Ethics

 

    When we become Christians we joint a culture of purity that means that we live our lives sacrificially everyday.  To live as a living sacrifice is to be holy and pleasing to God, not people.  We live according to God's standards and not what feels right.  Life becomes the spiritual act of worship in what we do and how we act.  The longer you live under God's direction the more discernment you will obtain in understanding God's perfect will.  It gives you clarity of direction in life.

    The Holy Spirit will transform you from the inside out.  The more you give over to God the more the Holy Spirit has to work with.  As you remove the toxicity and society's culture from your mind the more He refreshes it with life giving confirmations from the Bible.  

    When you are tested you will discover who you really are.  It will be good or it will be worldly.  If you are walking with Jesus, then it will be found pleasing and perfect in God's eyes.  Judge yourself, so that no one else can.  

    The Christian community is what makes the body of Christ.  None of us can do it alone.  We have to work together according to our spiritual gifts and grace to function properly.  We need to love sincerely and hate all evil.  Be devoted to each other zealously while serving God.  The gifts that work together are prophecy, service, teaching, exhortation, giving, leading, mercy with cheer.

    Find joy in hope, patience, and faithful prayer.  Practice hospitality to each other by share your life with other Christians.  Open yourself up to feel what other Christians are feeling, so you can help each other carry the burdens of life.  It helps in living in harmony and avoiding conceit.  

    Be a blessing to your persecutors.  It pours coals on their own heads while you are doing what is right while trying to live in peace.  When people hurt you, give it over to God.  Allow Him to take revenge on your behalf.  His way is so much better than anything you could come up with anyway.

    Instead of reacting, treat your enemies respectfully as human beings.  This way when they treat you badly or unjustly it shows their true colors to everyone watching.  Never let evil overcome you.  Always try to do what is right because God always sides with what is good and He always wins.  Conquer evil with good.
