Humble Leader

A good leader is humble.  It is not something that a person is instinctively.  It is learned by changing your perspective on life.  Life stops being about your instant gratification and becomes about what you can do to serve other, especially to honor God.  The more you embrace humility, the more power you see it possesses.
A Christian is a servant of Christ.  We have been entrusted to manage the secrets of God.  That is why we have to live our lives faithfully in service to the people around us.  You can't care what they think of you because that will take your focus off of God, but love them enough to serve them humbly.  It allows you to live your life with a clear conscience and justified by God.  The only praise you need is from God.
All the things that people try to keep hidden will come to light one day.  It is better to address it when it is just between you and God.  Take a good look at your motives because that is what God cares about.  That is what the Holy Spirit tries to mold.  When you learn how to keep your motives humble, then you are pleasing God.  We are all stewards that will have to hold an account for how we lived one day.
Leaders have lives that are on display: for good or evil.  They show that money and power are what matter in the world or humble service.  How they live matters.  People look to them on how to succeed in life.  People watch how they live their lives and their deaths.  Will the lives matter for eternity or will they die to eternal separation, taking crowds with them?
It is better to have nothing and live a life that most people may never know.  There is freedom in obscurity.  You may have nothing to the world's standards, but if you have salvation then you have riches beyond the world's understanding.
Being cursed by the world for Jesus leads to blessings.  Persecution for Jesus leads to endurance (strength).  Being slandered for following Jesus can show you how to be kind.  We have all been warned.  A life of arrogance or you will pay for it in eternity.  Love and humility is more powerful than money and prestige.  It makes you a leader for the Church in the world.
