Christianity focuses on the family, community, and people because once you become a Christian, you are no longer alone. You are a part of a family. At times it can be a complicated family, but a family that takes care of each other.
We start with obedience to God. That will require us to serve, but probably not in the manner you may have imagined. Wives serve their husbands like they are serving the church because in that family he is the head of the church. Husbands serve their wives to honor God by loving your wife the way God loves them.
Children obey their parent to do what is right. It is training for when they are adults. Adults all have bosses, family, churches, government to submit to. No one lives in the is world that does not submit to someone else to honor God's instructions for life. However, parent's don't blame your children if they do not honor you if you mistreat them. Children are priceless gifts from God that you are responsible for raising into Godly, productive, responsible adults. Treat them like the gift that they are.
Satan wars against the family to destroy the church. If you want to win, then there is no room for malice. Christians are powerful when we come together and put on the Armor of God. It is stronger than you can imagine because it enables you to withstand Satan's attacks.
Every morning begin the day with a firm foundation: Buckle of truth, Breastplate of righteousness, Shoes of the peace of the Gospel, Shield of faith, Helmet of Salvation, and the double edged sword of the Holy Spirit (God's Word). It starts with starting the day with God in prayer, the Word, and meditation. As long as you make time for God and start the day in prayer, it is okay if you are more nocturnal and do your devotion at night. That means it is fighting your dreams for you. The point is to make time when the Holy Spirit calls you to make time. Dressing in the full armor every day makes you a mature Christian. It means that you are complete in the divine nature and ready to face the evil of the day.
Pray over every aspect of life. That includes asking God to open your eyes to things that are hidden from you. How can you fight if you are in the dark? How can you fight when you don't understand what you are fighting? You need to be aware of what is happening around you. You need to see the battle on the family and church to find a way to defeat it. Pray in your spirit more than with your mouth.
Pray for the words to use to address situations. Pray for God to remove all fear. You can't predict what you will face, but God knows. Trust Him to prepare you. You just have to do your part: be open, read the Word, listen to His guidance, and act or wait when told. You are His ambassador in this world. Make sure you represent Him well. Encourage one another in love and faith which are undying.
