Immaturity

When you become a Christians it is only the beginning.  It is a life long journey with God.  Don't stop with accepting the gift of salvation.  Push inward to have a stronger and intimate relationship with God.  There is nothing corrupt, wrong, or twisted with this relationship.  You can go to Him as you are and be loved not matter what the world tells you.  However, you are expected to learn new traits and change over time to be more Christ like.
The High Priest are appointed to lead and help the church (God's People) in their weakness.  We are have blind spots and weak points.  We need help protecting ourselves and becoming stronger through awareness.  The high priest are mature Christians that have already gone through this and know the areas that they need to watch in their lives.  They need help to, but are more aware than an immature Christian.
Jesus is the High Priest over the entire church.  He has already led by example.  He had his temptations and never gave into them.  He is what will make you strong.  The human leaders must be called by God, then appointed by man.  He will pray for the people and make petitions on their behalf.  He will teach submission through example.  He showed us what humility really is.
Mature Christians have learned obedience through self-discipline, prayer, meditation, and making time for God daily.  Once a week is just not enough time.  You have to prioritize God.  Teachers are mature in righteousness.  They are trained to distinguish between good and evil.
God deals gently with the ignorant and immature.  He will take care of those that go astray so that they can see the error of their ways and return.  We all have to get to the point where we call our sin what it is: sin.  Being looked down on, spoken down to, or lectured will not change how we see it.  It is spiritual and has to be handled on the spiritual level.  Do not be lazy about your eternal life because it leads to failure in life.  Seek for yourself to find the truth.
