Knowing God Part 2

The way we know God is to learn how to be personally holy.  They only way we can be holy is by having a relationship with God.  The only way to have a relationship with God is to get to know His character.  It works together as you grow in your Christianity.
Holiness begins with turning your back on the way the world functions and embracing the Biblical worldview.  It is where you find the missing pieces of your soul.  It is how you let go of your flaws.  We were created to be holy, to be one with God.  However, living in the world where Satan is so heavily influenced it is sometimes hard to see clearly.  We have to sacrifice our worldly desires to be able to be Holy.  It is the only way we can find true peace and happiness.
God's will for you is to be sanctified, transformed, and renewed in holiness.  From there you can service Him.  You are able to suffer without resentment or hatred in your heart.  You can have peace in the midst of suffering.
God knows your weaknesses.  He understand the human nature.  He meets you where you are and leads you to where you need to be.  The eternal purpose is unchanging.  It is to have a relationship with God through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
The bad things in life are not because of God.  It is because of the world not allowing God in.  The only way we can exist in a perfect world is if we all accept his perspective.  That means obeying His precepts, rules, and guidelines.
The root of holiness is understanding that God is the judge over what is sin.  We don't get to pick and chose what suites us.  It is what He says.  We have the power of free will.  That means we can chose to obey or to sin.  Nothing forces us even if we are influenced by holy and unholy elements.  You have the power over doing what is right or what is wrong.  God provides mercy and grace, but judgment always follows sin.  His judgment will always be executed.
You get to know God by spending time in His Word.  His word gives you freedom that you will not find anywhere else in the world.  God gives you free will to live out your life as you like, but He is still in control over the big picture.
To live a life that follows God is to accomplish your purpose in life.  Chose self-discipline to avoid sin.  Chose salvation to avoid eternal death.  Change your sinful heart to a heart that prays.  Find harmony in His perfect will to find intimacy and a pure relationship with God.
