Abominable

 

    God has Moses talk to the Israelites and the other people living among them.  To sacrifice your own children is evil.  It is abominable in the eyes of God, so the consequences should be carried out by the society the evil doer lives within: stoned to death.  The same went for playing around with spirits and willingly participate in sexual sin.  These are capitol offenses to God.

    It is not just the person who does it either.  Their entire family would be stoned to make sure that the evil does not continue in the bloodline.  Some sin is inherited.  That just means that you are born to be more susceptible to certain sins than others.  That particular sin could be a life long battle like addiction, anger, and more.

    God desires us to be holy through obedience.  It may sound like a chore or restrictions on life, but in reality it makes life a lot more simple.  That is why God provided the 10 commandments.  Sin leads to death and God created us to live.  

    God really went into great detail about sexual sin because sexual sin is an abomination against your own body and soul.  We were created to be set apart from everything else in the world.  As Christians we are also set apart from the people that do not believe and walk with Jesus.  We are expected to obey.

    Be careful how you speak.  Words can be an abomination.  To speak sinfully is to bring judgment of God upon yourself.  God created us to need each other.  We are supposed to lift each other up instead of hurting or destroying each other's spirits.  God has given the message of good news.  Are you listening?  To ignore the truth is detestable.  To be detestable is to be an abomination.  It makes you less than nothing.

    God ask us to return to Him when we wonder and we always seem to wonder.  We need to remove and destroy all the abominable things that separate us from Him like our idols and evil ways.  It is a choice to be faithful, just, and righteous.  It is a choice to circumcise your heart to avoid God's fierce anger or lose heart.  

    Abominable acts of rebellion, sin, or evil hearts will be judged by God.  Do not be a fool.  Do all you can to understand God's rules and regulations for yourself and how they apply in life.  When you do, then doing good will become easier.  He knows how you struggle and will help if you allow Him to show you the way.

    The great prostitute represents what is abominable in the world.  She leads the world into adultery.  This adultery is turning away from God.  She uphold abominable pride that causes the world to act abominably too.  She drinks the blood of the saints to show victory over God, but she will pay because she has no victory over God.  It will end badly for her and all who followed her.  The consequences are never ending torment.
