Spiritual Blessings Part 2

God provides everyone with blessings, but he especially blesses the people that choose to follow Him.  He gives us the Holy Spirit to reside and guide all of us.  The Holy Spirit is our mediator and He gives us spiritual gifts.  His residency in our souls seals our salvation and provides us entrance into Heaven as part of the family of Jesus.  We cannot say that we are not blessed.
One spiritual blessing is peace in your heart.  Your entire world can be falling apart around you.  You may feel like you have no control over anything, but you can still have peace in your heart.  You have peace because you are bound with the Holy Spirit.  It is no longer just you, but you as a part of God.  You no longer have to live in frustration, be torn apart by other people's judgements or opinions, or anything else that steals your peace.  It can be displayed through the ability to rest.
A blessing of the Holy Spirit is the ability to have lovingkindness.  You get everlasting love, so that you can show other people how to love.  It is not easy.  Some people make it down right difficult, but we are commanded to love people because God loved us enough to save us from ourselves.  He loves you no matter what you do, so you need to love with a pure and innocent heart.  True love is unconditional.  It is gracious and freeing.  It provides wisdom and understanding to all things good and true.
A blessing of God is that we have Him with us in every moment in life, even when we sin and think we are getting away with it.  He knows and still does not abandon you.  Nothing you do will ever stop Him from loving you.  However, if you truly love Him, then you will do all you can to live in obedience to His Word.  True love lacks nothing.  His love is perfect and that is how we need to strive to love.
A blessing of the spirit is provision.  God meets all of our needs.  He provides needs that we may not think we need.  He may not give us some things that we do think we need because we need to rely on Him in all things more.  Everything you see, hear, abilities, food, mind, motivations, skills, and emotional stability is a blessing of provision.  It has all been given to glorify Jesus.  The only thing that can stop us is allowing sin into our lives (disobedience).  We are our own worst enemy when we allow Satan to influence us.
Protection is a spiritual blessing.  God made you.  He chose you.  He has a purpose for you, but you can destroy all of that if you are determined.  That is why protection, even from ourselves, is a blessing.  Do not reject what He offers because you are afraid to live.  Following Him is how you truly live a full and bountiful life.
To get the spiritual blessings requires change.  When you become a Christian, your old life dies and you are resurrected in the spirit.  When you body dies, then you will resurrect into your perfect body in Heaven.  The soul is eternal even if this body is not.  That is why as you age, you can look in the mirror and not recognize the older person.  You soul is still young and thriving.  Salvation transforms you and one day you will see your new self in Heaven and see just how beautiful you are in your immortal body.  People can see the spirit in you now and He does make you more attractive.  It is a pure attraction.
Jesus has prepared a place for everyone who chooses to follow Him in Heaven.  He had made you a place just for you.  It is not a cookie cutter home.  It is special just for your and Him.  All your relationships in Heaven will be perfect.  You will still love the people you love here, but it will be purified, true, and in perspective to your relationship with God.  This spiritual gift should give your drive, lift your moods, and carry you strongly through the day.
God's Word is a blessing.  We should thank God everyday that we have it and at such easy access.  Some people still have to hide their Bibles.  Some people can't even get a Bible.  Every Bible you own is the most precious possession that you own.  It is good to own several different translations for study, so you can truly understand what the message is.  It is your life long text book, with more valuable data than any other book you will ever ready.  It is your compass, guild (life map), life giving love letter from God.  In it He doesn't hold back anything that you really need to know to live a full life.
You can't say that you are not blessed.  We are blessed beyond measure.  We need to stay focused so that we can see all the blessings and not over look them.  God blesses you because He loves you.  Will you bless other people out of love for God?
