There are a lot of things that take the focus off of God and what He created. One scenario is the Scope's Monkey Trial to remove Creationism from schools. It was replaced with evolution. The people that fight for God's place to be restored in public education are still praying and trying to get Him back into schools. The victory is God's whether people recognize it or not.
Creationism lays out how God created the world in a way that children can understand. Day one is the creation of time, space, and matter. The world still did not have form or life, but it was already organized and preparing for life. God spoke the world into existence. It was nothing. There was nothing to make it from. It had to be imagined, thought of, and then created.
Phase one was the uniform of dark and light. Water, that had been created as matter, covered the surface. It filled all the designated space. The Holy Spirit hovered over it to keep it in place. He truly understood the depths of the water.
Jesus was there to hold together all creation. He is our connection to creation, God, and eternity. He is known for his part in reconciliation. He is is the Word that became human to make it all tangible for people. It is his blood that ties it all together. He opened our eyes to what is worthy, honorable, and powerful.
The Holy Spirit controlled the water as God formed the foundation to be stable and unmoving. The water and the foundation was created before the light. I think it is because the triad is it's own light. They didn't need the sun or stars. They made them for our benefit and for their beauty. There is probably a more complex reason too, but I don't know what it could be.
