The message of hope is the message of Jesus. He gives people hope for a life worth living. He gives people hope for eternal peace. His hope ties it all together where we can live in joy, gratitude, strength, and faith.
Jesus was rejected by people. His message of hope is still being rejected. People would rather hold onto their darkness than let it go and find true hope. It reveals the tight grip hold that sin has on their lives. Unfortunately that bleeds over into the lives of Christians.
Christians are persecuted like Jesus. They are rejected like Jesus, but it is different. He paved the way. That means no matter what we may endure he already is making it easier. The Holy Spirit is with you enduring the rejection, persecution, heart ache, and anything else put upon you along with you. You never have to survive it. You have help and hope. When people choose their sin over Jesus, but take it out on you, then don't look at it as rejection. Look at it as redirection. God is moving you in another way. He will handle them and their hard hearts.
Some Christians die for their faith, but they died in honor. They walked with God so closely that they chose physical death now over eternal death. If you reject God now, then He will reject you when you want to avoid hell. If you are true Christian, then that means that you are prepared to die for your faith. That does not mean that you will ever be a martyr. It just means you choose your hope in Jesus over everything.
The message of hope comes from the resurrection of Jesus. He rose himself from the dead. The message could not be displayed any more clearly. You either accept it and believe to get salvation. Accept it and reject the message to live your own life to come back to it when you are ready, which will probably be too late. Or reject the message itself and never understand the message of hope. To accept salvation is to accept a life where you are the one that changes because God never changes.
Jesus is the sacrificial lamb. He came into this world to be the sacrifice. It has been decided before Adam and Eve ever sinned. God always knew they would sin, but allowed free-will for them to choose eternity of joy, easy, peace, and pleasure or to have their eyes opened to the fact that sin exist and all the chains that it places on your life and soul. Jesus was always going to be our way out of those chains.
Jesus being the sacrifice means that he took my sin, your sin, and everyone else who accepts salvation's sin away from them and placed them on himself. That is a lot of sin and evil. If he was not God in human form there is no way he would have been able to bare it.
The moment you become a Christian the chains of any sin you ever committed are removed. The sin is erased. Unfortunately, that does not mean that you will never sin again. You still need to give Jesus your sins as they become aware to you to maintain your righteousness. When you sin as a Christian, you do not loose your salvation, but you loose the power behind your salvation. That is why you have to maintain your faith and walk with Jesus.
The message of hope gives us righteousness and purity. You could have done some really horrible things, but when you come to Jesus you become as pure as a baby again. You are wrapped in righteousness. It may take the world time to catch up to your changes, but you can embrace it immediately.
It is your choice to accept or reject Jesus' message. It is not on anyone else. It is in your own best interest to accept and allow humility into your heart. It is your heart to do and deal with as you choose. Make the best choice. Choose eternal hope.
