Reasons to Believe in Jesus

 

    Jesus is real.  He is God that came to this world as a human.  He was fully human and fully God at the same time.  He came to be a bridge for people to connect with God in a new intimate and real way.  You should believe because it is the truth.

    Jesus declared he was God.  It would be blasphemy if it were not true, but he had scripture to back him up along with all his miracles.  God declared Jesus his son before Jesus declared to be God.  God can't lie, so you know it is true.

    Jesus' conception and birth are proof that he is God.  He died willingly (released himself from his body while on the cross) and rose himself from the dead after the designated time.  I think that time was chosen because throughout history if a person was dead that long, there is no way they would ever be able to come back to life unless it was by God's hand.

    The entire Bible is about the Triad and their relationship with people.  Jesus changed everything in the Gospels.  Those four books (Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John) proves Jesus is our only salvation.  No one can imitate all that Jesus did to the same level.  A life of faith can produce miracles through the power of your faith, but it is still not on the same level as Jesus.

    Jesus lived perfectly in the life that he lived.  He is our teacher, mentor, guide, and savior.  He paid the penalty for our sins because he loves us.  He never sinned, but he died worst sinner's death.  Sin always leads to death, so he paid the price where we would not have to.  

    Sin separates us from God.  Even as Christian, if we choose a life of sin, then we are pushing God away.  It is an insult to his sacrifice.  What good is it to believe, but not allow him to change your life.  He became your substitute for your sins.   How will you thank God for that?  He was sinless and took on your sin as if it were his own to save you.  He did this without asking anything from you.  That is true love.

    Jesus becoming the final sacrifice made him our savior.  If you believe, except the truth, and truly repent your sins, then you become a Christian.  You choose to follow Jesus throughout life.  You have to learn true love from Jesus to be able to live a sacrificial life and it not sound or feel like you are being punished.  It is an honor that allows you to see the world in a purer perspective.

    Jesus was undefiled.  He lived separate from everyone, but was open to all people all at the same time.  He faced temptation maybe worse than any of us and he did not sin.  He was tempted in all things that make a person feel good or powerful.  He never gave it a second thought.  He used scripture to send Satan away.  Jesus was perfect and that is why you should believe.  

    Jesus was not born through any act of sin.  He was never tainted by sin.  He proved that if you follow him that sin will become unnatural.  If you are a part of the world, then it is a natural part of your life.  Jesus is the Lamb of God, Messiah, Emmanuel, Jesus, Rabbi, and Savior.  He is power and love.  This is why you should not doubt Jesus.  He has already proven himself.
