When you face death and you are not ready, it is a time of crisis. Crisis tends to cause revelation. Your real identity is exposed. You see who you really are and the people around you see who you are too. Who you are is brought into the light. Your priorities become clear. How you think drives how you will handle the crisis.
How your mind works will dictate how you will face death: yours, loved ones, and other deaths. It is natural to have questions like will it get better? This is an opportunity to turn to God. Ask God your questions. Ask God how He is using you in the situation. Ask God to speak to you and not leave you alone to your own thoughts. We need to focus on today and what we are facing right now, instead of what could happen in the future. The future will come either way.
When you face death it reveals your faith. It will display your faith, reveal where it needs to grow, or unveil that you don't have any. Faith is just about the life altering moments. It is about it becoming part of your character, legacy, and mind set. Your learn and grow in your faith or you do not.
Rejecting faith in Jesus has devasting consequences as you face death. Death could be instantaneous and you have no time to accept salvation or it can be drawn out to face in misery or hope. Instead of focusing on the end of the life story, focus on the good things that God gives you every day.
Stop blaming other people or God for how life is. You have a big part in your life. You can make it better by just adjusting your perception and attitude. You attribute to your culture. You make your own decisions. You determine your character. Life is your choice. People and events may take choices out of your hands, but your always decide how you will deal with that. Don't gamble with your eternity.
