Nimrod led a rebellion of a godless culture. He was not the first or the last. He just took advantage of what he had: one language, 1 accent, and an united vocabulary. He was treated like a god because of his natural gifts. It went to his head and he allowed pride to grow to the point that he made himself is own god.
When Nimrod was having the Tower of Babylon built everyone was able to communicate without any language barriers. Everyone understood everyone else. It could have been used for so much good, but the people decided to use it for darkness in wicked unity. It went against everything God had laid out for humans up to this point.
God had told people to take care of and reign over animals and the world. Then people were ordered to go populate the entire world. The people were not taking care of animals, the planet's life, or exploring the world populating different places. They decided they would stay together in one location and turn it into a manmade world.
No person is equal to God. If anyone works against God and the culture He has laid a foundation for, then they will lose. Pride may endure for a time, but it will crumble eventually. Personal accomplishment is only possible because God has gifted you in that area. The glory goes to God, not your pride.
In heaven there are no bricks. It is open. It is full of light. It is God's city. Man trying to create their own heaven have to use brick for strength. It closes things up. It is dark. It reveals the hard heart of the builder. It steals all the peace and the heart of joy from people. God's plan was for people to live in temporary homes, so that they would be ready for their eternal home. It would also be easier to keep moving and exploring this beautiful planet.
Creating a false or pagan religions goes against God's culture. God will judge this behavior one day. If you live your life without Him, then be prepared to face the consequences. He is the main aspect for all life. If you try to remove Him, then He will crash your world around you. You will experience His displeasure about your life. He did this with Nimrod by creating 70 languages in one moment. No one could understand each other anymore. It led for them all going their separate ways.
