What is the Bible About?

There are 25,000 manuscripts in the New Testament.  They are an accumulation of stories that tell one story.  The story of Jesus.  The whole point of the Bible is to get to know God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.  It is meant to help you see how much you need Him and how to open your eyes to find Him.  It is inspired by God.
Jesus taught people how to walk life with Him.  He taught them who He was until they understood.  Jesus has been a part of the story since before the beginning of time.  He will still be a part of the story after time ends.  He is the bridge between people and God.
Jesus is the seed.  No woman could get pregnant without a man, but it is more than that.  No child could ever be born without God.  Jesus is the only baby ever born that did not have man involved.  He was placed in Mary's womb by the Holy Spirit and His own desire to fulfill God's Word.
Eve brought sin into the world and the consequences led to pain in child birth and bearing.  Women will always suffer from remorse and loss.  They worry over their children in a way a man does not.  They carry the burden so the man can lead.  That may be why women tend to see their need for Jesus and long for him.  There will always be a connection between child birth and the life that Jesus offers.
Each story in the Bible is great, but there is more happening than what you read on the surface.  You need to pray as you read God's Word to get the depth of the message.  You need to pray for it to connect to your life and be personal.  We don't know the characters in the story, but it can feel like we do.
That connection can help you connect with God which is the whole purpose for the Bible: connect, see your need, repent, and build a relationship with God.  It is a guide to how to live right as we wait upon God's promises to be fulfilled.  It opens our eye to what is wrong by revealing the truth.  It corrects us, prepares us, and teaches us how to follow Jesus.
