Davar

Davar (D-B-R) is also called Dvar Torah.  Davar is דָּבָר in Hebrew.  It means "word", "speech", "thing", or "matter".  It signifies God's Word or the way God communicates through word and action with His people.  Devar Yehovah means the Word of the Lord.  Basically the Word has the power and life of God and was given to people as a road map on how to live their lives.  God's Word represents God's creativeness, power, and who He is.
Davar is more than utterance.  It is an order of words to connect people with God.  It tells stories, gives commands, provides promises.  There are clear boundaries and standards set, but in love.  Everything God communicates is to tell people you have the free will to live how you choose.  I want you with me, but if you choose otherwise then you will not reap the benefits of being a part of My family.
Davar is in the old testament more than 1,340 times.  The Bible is not just for reading.  It is to encourage and affect how you live.  It is meant to comfort you in hard times.  It is meant to be used when you pray to give direction and clarity over what you are actually praying for.  It helps you fight spiritual battles.
Words shape your life, how you think, how you act, and perspective.  God's Word enables you to reflect God in this world.  Words are used for good or evil.  They can hurt or heal.  It is your choice on the words you use.  It is also your choice on the words that you allow yourself to digest or accept.

Yeshua

Yeshua (yeh-SHOO-ah) is יֵשׁוּעַ in Hebrew.  It is a name for Jesus that means "Yahweh saves" or "salvation".  Yeshua is the shortened name for Yehoshua which is Joshua in English.  It was a common name at one point in history.
You can find Yeshua in the Gospels as expected, but it is used in the old testament (Tanakh) to describe Jesus before he ever entered the world as a human.  Yeshua signifies Jesus' mission of deliverance.  He became the source of hope.  Yeshua is used in worship.  This name brings light into the darkness.  When you see a sunrise this is the name you thank for it.
When you pray using the name Yeshua you are acknowledging Jesus as your source of salvation.  You are giving Jesus the recognition for his authority, power, and role in the trinity that gave you spiritual freedom.  Jesus accepts everyone as they are.  Once you accept him for who He is, then he helps you become the person you were created to be.

Aleph Tav

Aleph Tav is את in Hebrew.  It means "the Beginning and the End".  It is the first and last letter of the Hebrew alphabet.  It appears over 9,500 times in the Hebrew Bible.  את is viewed as the signature of God by many theologians and scholars which makes it different from Alpha and Omega.
Aleph Tav represents the totality of creation and His divine authority.  It signifies completeness.  It embodies Jesus' part in the Trinity.  In the New Testament it gives meaning to the cross to represent the "mark" or "covenant".  It exemplifies Jesus being the strength and truth of the Christian faith.  He has always been there from the beginning of creation until after he brings us home.  He has always had an important role in the Trinity.
When you pray the name Aleph Tav you are praying to Jesus.  You acknowledge his role in the trinity.  You recognize that He is your Lord and Savior.  It is done in a devotional manner.  You confess your faith in his strength, covenant, and presence in your life.  You submit to his authority as your personal leader and seek to understand.

El Roi

El Roi (el raw-EE or el-roy) is אֵל רֳאִי in Hebrew.  It means "the God who Sees me" or "the God of Seeing".  El Roi describes how God is personal, protective, and watches over His people.  He cares and will not leave you to suffer alone.  He knows you and still loves and watches over you.
Hagar was the first to used El Roi for God when He showed up for her in the desert.  She recognized that God was not distant, but there with her.  It signifies an intimate relationship.  He was with her in all her pain and suffering.  He did not just watch, but provided comfort when she was in a desolate place.
When you pray to El Roi you are crying out for comfort when you are in your desolate place.  When you feel alone in the world and it is crushing in on you, then you can cry out to Him knowing He will reveal how He is there with you.  When you feel alone and overlooked pray to El Roi.  You are significant to Him.  He will comfort your heart and motivate you to keep going.  He knows what you are facing and will get you through.

Ehyeh 'ăšer 'ehye

Ehyeh 'ăšer 'ehye (Eh-heh-yeh ah-sher eh-heh-yeh) is אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה in Hebrew.  It means "I am that I am", "I will be what I will be", or "I am who I am" depending on context.  God simply explains His character in His name.  Jesus reemphasizes it when he declares himself the son of God.  Ehyeh 'ăšer 'ehye is truth.
Ehyeh 'ăšer 'ehye is the name God gave Himself to Moses at the burning bush.  God declares His existence in a way that could not be denied, supernatural, powerful, and present.  It emphasizes God's transcendence and timelessness.  He is not tied to linear time line like people are.  He is immanent, omnipotent, and freedom.  He is unchanging which makes Him dependable.
When you pray to Ehyeh 'ăšer 'ehye you are acknowledging His existence and significance in your life.  Names hold authority, responsibility, and identity.  God is the living God.  He always was, is, and will be.  You can count on the fact that He will be there.  His name represents His character.  He will show up to rescue you when you need it.
You being a Christian represents that you are a part of His family.  When you pray to Ehyeh 'ăšer 'ehye pray that you will live up to honoring that name.  You can rely on His compassion.  Embrace the name and your role in the Holy and powerful family of God.

Yahweh Shalom

Yahweh Shalom (Yah-WEH sha-LOME) is יהוה שָׁלוֹם in Hebrew.  It means "The Lord is Peace".   The actual translation is "the Lord is complete" or "the Lord brings security".  If you take it literally, then it is a promise that God will be the source of calm in your life.  He had promised to give you everything you need to fulfill your purpose.
Gideon is the one that established this name for God when he build an altar to commemorate God's promise of peace for His people.  Gideon trusted God to restore His nation.  He was acknowledging that God was his source of calm in chaos.  God is enough.  He provides peace and security.  Trust Him to take care of you like Gideon did and you will have hope in life.  He can remove your anxiety and worry.
When you pray to Yahweh Shalom you are acknowledging that God is the source of you being whole, your safety, and tranquility in life even when you face what you fear.  When life is hard you can still hold onto your peace by trusting God to take care of you.  He never promised that life would be easy.  He doesn't lie.  We live in a world completely corrupted by Satan and evil.  God only promised that He would be with you, take care of you, and give you eternal peace if you follow Jesus.

The way Paul is the spokes person for the church after Jesus' resurrection.  Moses is the one that gave God all His names or at least recorded names to call God.  Moses used Yahweh Nissi after God led the defeat of the Amalekites and Moses built an altar to God to honor the victory.  He thanks God for being there in the hard times.
Praying to Yahweh Nissi is a declaration of security in your faith, hope in your life, and victory over what is a wall or defeating you at this time.  You use the name Yahweh Nissi to declare grace over yourself, your feelings, your attitude, and other people.  Yahweh Nissi reveals God's nature as a protector and victor over all evil.  Pray to Yahweh Nissi for strength in your personal battles.  He will provide.  He gives the hard times purpose.  Praying to Yahweh Nissi provides perspective.
