Be Righteous

Righteousness is an action that brings about positive results in a relationship with God.  Righteousness with other people can be misconstrued or resented.  Some people may see it as an action of superiority or self-importance.  It is something that is meant to be a way of life with God as the focus.  Outsiders may not understand that it has nothing to do with being self-righteous which is self-centered.
God has always gone ahead of His people preparing the way.  He works in the hearts of those that do not believe in Him to serve their purpose.  We are not puppets, but God can put thoughts, ideas, and feelings into people which will influence how they will act.  Satan can do the same thing.
That is why we need a solid foundation, so that we do not fall into traps or crumble under the pressure.  A righteous life is a life of integrity.  A life of rebellion will only make God angry.
Remember when God's people made the golden cafe back in Exodus.  They had just witnessed being in God's presence and as soon as He leaves them alone they turn back to their own human desires.  Moses rebelled with the stone providing water.  They are just moments, but those moments can destroy your life.  It takes more time, effort, and energy to live a life of integrity, but it also gives you a fruitful life.
Before beginning a journey in life, take a look at your motivations.  Are they righteous or rebellious?  What giants are you going to have to battle to get where you want?  Are you fighting against God or with God?
