Teaching the Law

Teaching is more than giving instruction, reading, and learning for yourself.  Teaching is how you live.  People watch to see if you live what you are teaching.  If you do not uphold what you are teaching then the reputation that you earn is a hypocrite.  You loose the power behind your words.  That is why the role of a teacher is held at a higher standard.  When you become a teacher or leader then you invite the spotlight into your personal life.
Moses did all he could to teach God's laws and standards.  He was a good leader over all.  He was human, so he failed at times.  However, he owned it and moved on.  He excepted any repercussions and showed others how to move forward.  He is still teaching us how to honor God's covenant with His people.
It all starts with the 10 commandments.  You can't live an honorable life without them.  Jesus came along a few hundred years later to elaborate on the law.  He did not replace them or void them, but He did enlightened us on the law.  Obey the law with love and you honor God better.
The question we all have to ask ourselves is do we want to die honoring our own desires or God's desires for our lives.  Our own path may be fun for a little while, but the consequences could have a high price.  Following God may not be easy, but the reward is far better than we can imagine.
He is listening to your heart.  Speak up and tell Him what you think you need in life.  He will either give it to you or direct you in a different direction.  Follow Him and your life itself will prosper.  That does not necessarily mean financially.  You life can prosper in health, youthfulness, wisdom, and so many other areas.
