Being a Blessing

We all have the choice and power to be a blessing or a curse in the lives of the people that are around us.  It is a choice we make daily and momentarily.  It is not always easy because people do not act the way we would like or expect.  It comes down to what kind of person you want to me be and the relationship you have with God that you want to show the world.
After the Ark made it to Jerusalem, there was a time of great celebration.  The people played music, dances, and experienced a great time of joy.  Once the initial party was over, David led the nation to the sacrifice portion of the celebration.  Then he made sure all the people were were fed, then had the Levites minister before the ark about giving thanks and praising God.  When the fellowship was over, David did something unexpected.  He blessed the nation in God's name as he recited a Psalm that he had written about remembrance.
He reminded them that this was all about God and how to properly worship Him.  God reigns in Heaven and on Earth.  He allows people to hold a position of power, but He is the source.  We all should give thanks for everything He has given us, even the things that we may not consider presents or rewards.  He has prepared a place for all HIS people in Heaven and provided for all people here.  He shows His love daily and His love endures forever.
It is our choice to display constant love like God does.  It is not easy.  We will probably fail more than we succeed, but we can make the choice to never stop trying.  Love is a blessing and it may feel costly, but it is the best way to display your relationship with God.
