Worthy

 

    To God's right hand was the Word.  It had seven seals on it, but John was still able to see that it had writing on both sides.  A mighty angel spoke for all to hear:  "Is anyone worthy to open the scroll and break the seals?"  Only God has the power to release the scroll to the one that was worthy.  It could only be read once the seals were removed.

    No one in Heaven or on earth could get through the seals.  No one was worthy.  John cried because he understood the importance of the scrolls and no one was able to open them.  An elder told him not to cry because there is one that can open the scrolls.  

    This is when Jesus appeared.  He had seven horns (authority) and seven eyes that represent the seven spirits of God on earth.  He took the scroll from God's right hand.  This means that the great commission was being fulfilled.

    Then all the creatures and elders began to worship Jesus.  There were harps and golden bowls filled with incense to represent the prayers of the saints.  They sang out about Jesus being worthy.  Thousands upon thousands of angels encircled him singing to the slayed lamb.  All of them sang out in worship to declare that Jesus is in praise, honor, glory, and power.  

   Jesus was sitting at the throne for all eternity.  The four creatures said amen and the elders fell down to worship.   Heaven is full of worship.  It is the place where worship will never end.
