Yahweh Rapha

 

    Yahweh Rapha (Yah-way rah-Fah) is also called Jehovah Rapha (.jĕ-HŌ-vuh  rah-FAH / rah-PAH / rō-FEH).   In Hebrew the name is יהוה רָפָא.  It means The Lord Who Heals.  This names reveals God's power in healing the heart, mind, spirit, and body.  He restores, mends, and protects His people.  He is the great physician.  

    You can find Yahweh Rapha first used in Exodus as God restores His people.  He healed them physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  He made those who trusted and followed him whole again.  Moses used Yahweh Rapha in Marah after bitter water was turned sweet.  Moses trusted God to make things right and restore His people.  God did not disappoint.

    Pray using the name Yahwey Rapha when you heart is broken and you don't even know where to start to feel better.  Pray when you are sick.  Pray when doctors have given up.  Pray when the mind is under attack.  Pray when your emotions are frayed or all over the place.  Pray that God heals your past wounds.  You can't turn back time and change things, but the past doesn't have to dominate your present or future.  Pray for inner healing that leads to peace in all circumstances.  

    Pray and trust Yahweh Rapha to heal what ever it is that you are giving to Him.  Pray and expect a complete cure, but understand that if it doesn't happen like that, that it doesn't mean that God doesn't love you.  He will use it and so can you.  The cost of sin is death.  We all have to face that one day.  The only difference is that if you chose salvation, then your eternal life is going to be completely healed without pain or suffering.
